Key takeaways
VASER 2.0 liposuction case: a protruding lower belly from years of late-night snacking, with slow progress from diet, exercise and fat-dissolving injections. Liposuction followed an assessment with Dr. Kuo-Chun Liao. With painkillers and a compression garment, discomfort and swelling were mild; he wore the garment for four to five months. Seven to eight months later he felt 70 to 80% recovered, with a clearly flatter abdomen.

"I'm A-Tai and I work at an advertising agency. Every time I got dressed I felt my lower belly stuck out, and it didn't look good in photos, so I started thinking about liposuction..."
For a while I wasn't watching what I ate. I had McDonald's for late-night snacks for months on end and kept getting heavier. When I realized how badly I'd let my figure go, I started dieting, exercising and working out. I also tried other aesthetic treatments for spot fat reduction, but progress was slow. For fat-dissolving injections I had a phosphatidylcholine-based one, which worked fairly well, but the doctor said I'd need many, many sessions to get to where liposuction would, so I decided to have liposuction at 40.
Choosing VASER 2.0 as a gift to myself at 40
I thought about it for four or five years, until early 2022 when I suddenly wanted to give myself a gift after turning 40 and start over. I read up online and consulted many aesthetic clinics. A family member had actually had liposuction, so it was my family who suggested liposuction to reduce fat. The technique I chose was VASER 2.0, because the doctor said it was the best current technique and the least damaging to tissue. Having experienced it myself, I think it's really good!
Following the nurses' instructions after surgery kept discomfort mild
I was quite calm on the day, because the anesthesiologist said that once he started, I'd quickly fall comfortably asleep, so I'd know nothing about the procedure; when I woke up it would all be done and I'd be resting. I'd seen many case photos and knew the surgery is very safe, so I wasn't too worried about it falling short.
After surgery I followed the nurses' instructions and took painkillers morning and night, so the discomfort wasn't severe, and I wore a compression garment, so swelling wasn't noticeable. After every shower I massaged lotion into all the treated areas to help the bruising and swelling disperse.
I had surgery in October 2022. I stopped wearing the compression garment four to five months after surgery, and coworkers and family had already noticed my figure had changed clearly and my belly was gone. It's now about seven or eight months, and I feel 70 to 80% recovered. I'm quite happy with how I am. I've kicked the late-night snacking habit; if I'm really hungry I might have something low-calorie so my stomach doesn't feel empty, then go straight to bed.

I consulted many clinics; four reasons I chose NAISS CLINIC
I consulted lots of aesthetic clinics, but chose NAISS CLINIC because:
First, NAISS CLINIC is very comfortable and its equipment is advanced
Second, the doctors are highly skilled, certified by the VASER manufacturer, and above all experienced with many cases
Third, at the consultation they explained how to look after myself during recovery, with every detail made clear
Fourth, the setting and the staff's attitude are excellent. Every time I came back after surgery, nearly every staff member knew me and called me by name, so I always feel at ease when I walk in
My family is envious, and coworkers keep asking
I'd give it an 8 right now. I'm quite happy with where I am, but I think I can get even better, maybe by adding more weight training to strengthen my core and reduce fat. There's only a little surface fat left, and now it's up to my diet to change that.
After surgery coworkers kept asking how I'd slimmed down, and I said exercise, 16:8 fasting and so on, without mentioning liposuction. A family member who'd had liposuction said my results were much better than theirs, so they're a bit envious, and I've suggested they come here too.
My advice: liposuction is a fairly complete fat-reduction procedure. First, have the cost ready. Second, adjust your lifestyle and eating habits first; liposuction means more if you're sure you won't regain the weight. Finally, if you've decided, you could time it like I did, between winter and spring when it's cooler, since the doctor said the compression garment has to be worn for at least three months.
