What is Letybo?

Appearance of Letybo Product

The Korean pharmaceutical company "HUGEL" developed the botulinum toxin brand Letybo, introduced in Taiwan in 2019. Known as "Botulax" in Korea, it is also referred to as 3D Precision Botulinum and Lightweight Botulinum. Targeted for compatibility with Asian skin types, it has consecutively ranked as Korea’s top-selling botulinum toxin for seven years, with high standards and quality at its core values. Letybo is available in three dosages: 50/100/200U.

Botulinum toxin is a natural protein refined from the Clostridium botulinum bacterium using advanced technology. It works by inhibiting the secretion of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter responsible for muscle contraction and gland secretion. There are seven serotypes of botulinum toxin (A-G), each with unique antigenic properties. Letybo uses type A, known for its strong efficacy and long-lasting results.

FAQ
About Letybo

You may start feeling some softness in the treated areas within 1-2 days, indicating the onset of BOTOX's effects. Optimal results are typically seen 2-4 weeks after treatment. It's recommended to have a follow-up visit with your doctor two weeks post-treatment for any necessary adjustments.

The effects of BOTOX usually last about six months, but this can vary based on factors such as age, muscle size, the severity of wrinkles, previous treatment history, and individual lifestyle and muscle use habits.

The most common side effects are pain, bruising, and swelling at the injection sites. Other possible but less common side effects include headaches, infection, localized muscle weakness, dry eyes, and eyelid drooping. These are typically temporary and can improve with appropriate care. Rare but serious side effects like difficulty swallowing or breathing should prompt an immediate visit to the doctor.

The need for repeat treatments can vary from person to person based on how quickly their body metabolizes the botulinum toxin, with most people getting re-treatment every four to six months to maintain their desired look. Some choose to get touch-ups as needed to keep up the appearance.
