Chimera
I am Alice.
I always felt my nose was very flat, and contouring took
a lot of time whenever I did my makeup. I had wanted to get rhinoplasty for a long time but
lacked the courage.
I tried thread lifting four times, which was quite
painful and ineffective, and my nasal bridge even widened. Eventually, I decided
to go for rhinoplasty.
Choosing Chimera and Autologous Rib Here's Why...
I was particularly concerned about the bridge of my nose
and wanted a more defined look, similar to European or
Thai styles. I showed my desired nose shape photos to
the consultant, who
understood my preferences and communicated them to
the surgeon.
The materials were chosen based on the doctor's
professional recommendation. We decided on using Chimera combined with autologous
rib cartilage to adjust the nasal bridge and tip. Rib
cartilage was chosen for its superior support compared
to ear cartilage, achieving the look I wanted.

Swelling Gone in a Week, Hidden Scars No Pain Post-Surgery
There was no pain post-surgery, except for slight swelling around the nose and eyes
on the third and fourth days. I took the
anti-inflammatory medication prescribed by the clinic,
drank plenty of water, iced the area frequently, and
took collagen supplements. The swelling subsided in
about a week. The incisions were made under the nose tip and inside
the nostrils,
making the scars nearly invisible. The only inconvenience was constant runny nose, but I
couldn't blow my nose hard due to the incisions. I had
to gently wipe with a cotton swab.

Chimera Rhinoplasty The Best Investment I've
Made
Before & After
BeforeAfter
I no longer need to contour my nose when doing
makeup. At most, I just add some highlights.
In photos, my nose looks flawless, and my features appear
much more defined with just eye makeup and some
European-style contact lenses. I love how I look now! My family and friends also
compliment me on how beautiful I've become, all without any
negative feedback.
I believe the nose is the most crucial feature on the
face, so getting rhinoplasty was a decision I don't regret. For
those considering it, be brave and go for it; rhinoplasty is
a fantastic investment!
Chimera Rhinoplasty Combining the Advantages of Silicone and Goretex
Chimera
uses a silicone core and a Goretex outer layer,
thus retaining the
elasticity, one-piece integration, and moldability
of silicone, while the outer layer of Goretex completely isolates
the silicone from body tissues, reducing inflammation, capsular
contracture, displacement, deformation, and the likelihood of
calcification. Chimera maintains the firmness of silicone
(beneficial for support) while also offering the soft touch of
Goretex,
allowing for a natural nose shape, available in both I-shaped and L-shaped models.
Two Surgical Techniques for
Crafting a Refined Nose
1Two-stage Rhinoplasty: Involves both the nasal bridge and the tip. The implant is
"pre-formed" to elevate and extend the bridge, with autologous
ear cartilage used to pad the tip as a buffer. The "closed"
surgical method fixes the incision inside the nostril,
leaving virtually no scars, but with limited malleability,
not suitable for complex nasal corrections, ideal for those
seeking a pronounced nasal bridge.
2Three-stage Rhinoplasty: Involves the nasal bridge, columella, and tip,
also known as structural rhinoplasty. The implant is "segmented" to elevate the bridge, making
major adjustments to the nose shape, with autologous ear
cartilage used to pad the tip and refine the tip and nostrils,
also correcting issues like a crooked septum. The "open"
surgical method, starting from the columellar incision,
allows for sculpting low bridges, wide nostrils, upturned
noses and other complex nose shapes, fully customizable to
meet the patient's needs.
Whether it's two-stage or three-stage rhinoplasty,
both can use the Chimera model. The medical team at NAISS CLINIC will discuss and evaluate with
you,
choosing the right surgical method based on different needs to
create your perfect nose shape.

After surgery, continue to apply ice to the forehead, eye
area, and glabella for the first three days. Do this 5-6
times a day, for 15-30 minutes each time. Avoid pressing
down hard while icing.
2
Start warm compresses after stitches are removed, following
the same method as icing, to help reduce swelling and
bruising.
3
It's normal to have some blood-tinged discharge for the
first three days after surgery. If there is significant
bleeding or severe nasal congestion, contact your doctor
immediately.
4
Avoid sleeping on your stomach for the first week after
surgery and try not to wear glasses to prevent pressure on
the nasal bridge.
5
Maintain cleanliness around the eyes to avoid infections
like conjunctivitis, which could lead to nasal infection
through the nasolacrimal duct.
6
After surgery, steer clear of cigarettes, alcohol, coffee,
spicy foods, and tea to prevent swelling or impair wound
healing.
7
Refrain from blowing your nose hard or picking it to avoid
bleeding at the surgical site.
8
Avoid bending over, lowering your head, and engaging in
vigorous exercise after surgery.
9
Elevate your head with pillows while sleeping to minimize
swelling.
FAQ About Chimera Rhinoplasty
No! Rhinoplasty involves the skin and mucosal tissue layers of
the nose, without affecting the olfactory nerves or damaging the
nasal mucosa structure. Therefore, it won't impact your sense of
smell or cause any breathing discomfort.
Within the first two weeks after rhinoplasty, the nose can be
swollen and bruised with serous fluid and blood seepage; one
month post-surgery, the swelling begins to subside, and there's
no longer significant bleeding; around 4-6 weeks later, the
shape will mostly stabilize, increasingly resembling a natural
nose shape.
Chimera Rhinoplasty offers longer-lasting effects and appears
more natural, and it is less likely to cause capsular
contracture. With minimally invasive rhinoplasty using fillers,
the filler substances are metabolized and absorbed over time,
and repeated injections can cause the nasal bridge to widen and
the tip to enlarge due to capsular contracture.
Most incisions are hidden in inconspicuous areas, and since the
surgical cuts are small, they're generally not visible. Scars
will gradually fade over six months. During this time,
minimizing stretching of the incision and avoiding sun exposure
can effectively reduce scar formation.
