Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)
uses high-pressure oxygen for treatment, delivering over 20%
oxygen in an environment exceeding 1ATM. During the 20-40 minute
session, pressure changes increase blood oxygen levels and enhance
tissue oxygenation, helping to
reduce swelling, discomfort, boost immunity, and accelerate healing, swelling reduction, and
recovery from injuries and surgeries.

ATTENTION
HBOT Precautions
1
Avoid consuming carbonated beverages like soda or beer one
hour before treatment to prevent gastrointestinal
discomfort.
2
Refrain from smoking for at least two hours before
treatment, as smoking can cause blood vessel constriction,
reducing the effectiveness of hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
3
Do not bring flammable materials, metal accessories, or
contact lenses into the chamber.
4
During pressurization and depressurization, keep your lips
tightly closed, pinch your nose, exhale forcefully, and
swallow.
5
Patients may experience ear pain due to pressure changes
during pressurization and depressurization.
6
After the HBOT session, due to lying down for 20-40 minutes,
it is advised to sit for 30 seconds before standing to avoid
dizziness from standing up too quickly.
7
If you experience severe ear pain during the session, please
inform the staff immediately.
8
It is not recommended to undergo more than two sessions per
day.
FAQ
About HBOT
HBOT is a continuous, cumulative treatment. The duration,
frequency, and pressure intensity of the therapy vary by
individual, and there is no fixed standard. However, most people
can undergo treatment five times a week, with each session
lasting 0.5 to 1 hour.
People with a history of spontaneous pneumothorax, chest or ear
reconstructive surgery, fever (risk of oxygen toxicity), allergy
to oxygen, or a history of oxygen toxicity should avoid HBOT.
Those with nasal congestion caused by colds or rhinitis, ear
diseases, claustrophobia, pregnancy, pacemakers, epilepsy, or
emphysema with carbon dioxide retention are also advised not to
undergo this treatment.
HBOT is generally safe, but potential side effects may include
oxygen toxicity, ear barotrauma, claustrophobia, and vision
changes.
The chamber door cannot be opened when the atmospheric pressure
inside is different from outside, as this is a safety feature to
prevent sudden oxygen exposure. If you wish to exit, you can use
the emergency communication system and transparent observation
window. Normally, it takes about 1 minute to adjust the system.
Once the pressure returns to 10 atmospheres, the door can be
safely opened.
At the beginning of the treatment, you may hear the machine
running, and the temperature inside the chamber will slightly
increase. If you feel pressure or mild pain in your ears,
yawning or swallowing can help relieve the discomfort. Toward
the end of the treatment, the temperature will slightly
decrease. Hearing a popping sound is normal and can be relieved
by swallowing.
