Key takeaways
Arm VASER liposuction case: fat on the arms that fat-dissolving injections and fat freezing didn't improve enough. After an assessment with Dr. Hou-Geng Liu, she had VASER liposuction through one incision each on the front and back of the arm. Afterward she wore a compression garment daily and came back for dressing changes; bruising gradually faded after about a week. The doctor judged that she was already close to the limit of what could be removed.

"I'm Penny, I'm 23, and I'm an aesthetic medicine consultant. I wanted arm VASER liposuction because I always had to retouch my photos and wanted a better figure. And the arms and upper back are among the hardest places to slim through dieting, while liposuction can deal with that excess fat directly. Since I work in aesthetic medicine, having liposuction also means I'm my own advertisement, which makes it easier to explain the devices and techniques to clients..."
Why VASER liposuction, and why NAISS CLINIC?
I'd tried fat-dissolving injections and fat freezing, but they weren't as effective as liposuction, and it's hard to reach my goals for the arms and upper back with fat-dissolving injections or fat freezing alone, so I chose VASER liposuction to deal with my arm fat directly. If you ask what I recommend: liposuction and fat-dissolving injections both involve some discomfort. If you want to try a small area first, choose fat-dissolving injections, but if you want to change your contours over a larger area, I'd still recommend liposuction; the results are more direct!
After the consultation I felt NAISS CLINIC's environment is very comfortable and the staff are very friendly. The most unusual thing is that before surgery you go through an air shower room to lower the risk of infection. I thought that was pretty cool; it was my first time.

Easy aftercare! Happy with the result, and more confident in photos
Aftercare is actually very easy: you just wear a compression garment every day. I went back to the clinic every day for dressing changes, and there were basically no real problems. There's one incision on the front and one on the back of each arm. There was bruising for a week after surgery, which then gradually faded, and it didn't affect my life much~
I rate my satisfaction 8, because I wanted my arms even slimmer, but the doctor said I was already very slim so he couldn't remove more. Still, I've definitely got the result I wanted, and I can really see it in the mirror and in photos, which makes me more confident
How did friends and the doctor react to my liposuction?
My friends all knew I was going for liposuction, and most said, "You don't need it" or "Why bother! You're already great." But I felt good could be even better. At the consultation the doctor also said I was already slim and there's a limit to how much slimmer I could get, but he was still willing to try for me.
I wasn't worried it wouldn't meet my expectations either; I'd paid for it, so no need to be negative, haha. Just believe it'll get better~ Next I want liposuction on my thighs. I didn't do them this time because I wanted to see how my arms turned out first; I'd only do another area once I'd seen results. I'm very happy with this result, so I want to book the next one soon~
A few words for anyone considering liposuction...
Don't be afraid of surgery; becoming more beautiful can make your life better. General anesthesia isn't as scary as you think; it's just like sleeping. Think of it as waking up from a nap looking the way you want, and you won't be afraid. No need to be too nervous!
