I chose an underarm incision, because the underarm already has creases, so a scar there is less noticeable. Also, if I want to wear tops that show the underside of the breast later, a scar along the breast fold would be quite visible, so I didn't consider that.

My surgeon was Dr. Kuo-Chun Liao. He was always smiling, and he even came from Taipei to Taichung to ask about what I wanted and where I wanted the incision, which calmed me down. He came across as very attentive and professional. I'd also done a lot of research and seen many of Dr. Liao's cases, and the results were impressive, so I trusted him 100% and wasn't nervous at all before surgery!
After surgery I felt swollen but not much pain; only when getting up and using my chest muscles was there mild discomfort, and otherwise I could do things normally. There was some bruising only at the underarm incision and where the drain went in, and it was mostly gone in about a month. After surgery I took vitamin E and wore a support bra. At my follow-up a little over a month later, the doctor started teaching me how to massage. It's actually quite simple and doesn't take much time. The consultant and nurses also checked on my recovery and asked if I felt unwell. Everyone at NAISS CLINIC is really friendly.
