Autologous rib cartilage ("pearl rib") rhinoplasty case: her upturned nose showed her nostrils from the front, and a thread lift couldn't improve the nasal tip. After an assessment with Dr. Yen-Chun Yu, she had rhinoplasty using her own rib cartilage. There was no pain after the anesthesia wore off and no bruising; there was swelling for the first one to two weeks, which went down in about two weeks, and three months later her nose looks natural.

"I'm Yue-Yue, I'm 25, and I work at a marketing company. I always felt my upturned nose was quite pronounced, with my nostrils visible from the front. I tried a nose thread lift once; the result was good, but it could only adjust the height of the bridge and couldn't improve the tip. What I wanted was a result so natural that nobody would know I'd had my nose done unless I told them. After many consultations, I found that pearl rib cartilage rhinoplasty fit exactly what I wanted..."
Wanting a natural-looking nose, I chose pearl rib cartilage rhinoplasty
I did a lot of homework on rhinoplasty. I watched and researched for four whole years, consulted at least six clinics and eight doctors, and compared all kinds of nasal implant materials, such as second-generation silicone, Chimera and Gore-Tex. Each had pros and cons, but none seemed likely to give the natural look I wanted. Then I learned about autologous pearl rib cartilage rhinoplasty and felt it could achieve what I wanted, so I chose NAISS CLINIC for my rhinoplasty. When choosing a clinic, besides offering the material you want, I think the doctor's aesthetic sense, the clinic environment and the care at follow-ups are all important. Look at plenty of the doctor's work and consider whether it suits your usual style.

I highly recommend Dr. Yen-Chun Yu! Professional advice, and he double-checked what I wanted
I had a very good impression of Dr. Yen-Chun Yu. He's kind and approachable; he listens to what patients want and discusses it alongside his own professional view. At the consultation I brought a few reference pictures, and Dr. Yu went through them with me, telling me specifically which nose shapes would turn out higher than I expected. Beauty is subjective, and patients may assume certain shapes will look natural, so Dr. Yu offers appropriate advice. And before surgery he confirmed again the result I wanted from the side and the front, in case my ideas had changed or weren't consistent. He checked everything very carefully.
No discomfort at all after surgery, and happy with the result after 2 weeks of swelling
I'd had breast augmentation before, so I wasn't nervous, and rhinoplasty really doesn't hurt! You go into the operating room, get anesthesia, and come out with gauze on your nose, with no pain at all. Even after the anesthesia wore off it didn't hurt, and I wondered if I'd really had surgery~ There was no bruising or other discomfort during recovery either, which shows how skilled the doctor is, hahaha. There was only some swelling for the first week or two. I felt a bit anxious then, wondering when the swelling would go down and whether it would look good afterward. I drank an herbal recovery tonic to help with swelling, and by about the second week I relaxed, because my nose really did look great.

Full marks for satisfaction: my nose is so natural people think I'm mixed-race
I'm three months post-op, and I can honestly give it a 10! Now the first thing everyone asks when they meet me is, "Are you mixed-race?" Maybe because my eyes are fairly big and my features are quite defined, people occasionally asked before, but now everyone asks, haha. My hope before surgery was a natural result, and I think it was fully achieved. People I've just met can't tell I've had rhinoplasty, and when they find out, they all say it looks very natural. This surgery was so worth it! If you have the same problem as me, don't hesitate! Book a consultation now!
Looking better helps your social life, so investing in yourself matters
I think confidence comes from appearance. When I started wearing contact lenses in eighth grade, I realized for the first time that looking good really helps your relationships with people. More people want to get to know you, and your love life improves, hahaha. Also, after becoming prettier, I make a better first impression in sales-type work, which can help close deals. Along the way I've tried many different ways to become prettier, and how I look now is my ideal. Looking at myself in photos, I think, "How am I this pretty?" Investing in yourself is never wrong; whether it's your looks or your mind, it's an act of self-love.
