Perle Breast Augmentation Story: A Revision with a New Material for a Balanced Figure

Attending doctorDr. Yen-Chun Yu Published Updated 4 min read

Key takeaways

Breast augmentation revision case: her first implants were too large, leaving a visible upper edge. After an assessment with Dr. Yen-Chun Yu, they were replaced with 300cc moderate-profile Perle implants. Pain was much milder than after her first surgery; she had recovery IV drips for three to four days and her breasts looked natural after about a month. Because her skin had been stretched before, she wears a compression bra to help it tighten.

"I'm Mask Magician, I'm 25, and I work at a department store counter. My first breast augmentation was because I developed late and was quite flat. I felt I'd experienced small breasts and wanted to try big ones. Later I felt they were too big; the result wasn't what I imagined, my figure in clothes wasn't what I'd hoped for, and overall it didn't look well proportioned. After two years and two months, I decided on a revision to make them a bit smaller..."

Going smaller removed the visible edge, and Perle feels like real breasts

My original implants were too large, which left a very visible edge, and my upper chest looked unnatural in clothes, so I wanted to redo them in a smaller size. When choosing new implants I found the newest Perle material, and after feeling it I found the way Perle gives under pressure is very like real breasts, so I decided to switch to Perle for my revision.

Dr. Yen-Chun Yu is steady and meticulous: highly recommended!

My only thought on surgery day was, "Please let this be the last time," because I'd had three surgeries on my breasts and really didn't want another bad outcome! But I have nothing but praise for Dr. Yen-Chun Yu. He comes across as very steady, answers every question in detail and patiently, takes my ideas into account, and discusses with me how to meet my expectations. It was a great experience, and I highly recommend Dr. Yu.

Breast augmentation tips! How to choose the material, clinic and doctor

A fast one-month recovery, with a natural shape and no pain

This time I chose 300cc moderate-profile Perle implants. Right after surgery the shape already looked natural, and it hardly felt like there was a recovery period. One month after surgery felt like six months; recovery was incredibly fast. The pain during recovery was much better than the first time. I only felt the underarm incisions, with none of the nerve pain from chest friction or the heavy pressure on my chest.

The clinic provides recovery IV drips, and after about 3 to 4 days of them I was mostly recovered. Because my previous, larger implants had stretched my skin, it was a little loose after the revision, but I've been wearing a compression bra and can feel my skin gradually tightening.

A revision to the best result yet, solving the problem of breasts that were too big

I'm just over a month post-op, and my satisfaction is 7.5. The missing 2.5 is because my ideal is a bit smaller still, hahahaha (a large B or small C). But with implants you can't go just a tiny bit bigger, unless it's fat transfer breast augmentation, which has the issue of fat survival rate and depends a lot on your body. Also, everyone's height, weight, frame, chest width and body fat are different, so there's no one with exactly my build to compare with. People online with a similar build to mine used 300cc, but my skin had already been stretched, so they look bigger and less firm, which is quite normal. This is the result I'm happiest with so far; they're not too big like the first time, and don't stick out as easily.

Goodbye underwire bras: a more shapely, graceful figure

After surgery I let some friends feel them, and everyone said they're super soft. We even compared them with natural breasts, and they felt about as soft. Perle's softness is excellent~ After the revision I can finally wear fitted clothes. Overall it looks much more pleasing, my figure is more shapely, and I don't need underwire or padded bras. That's exactly the result I was after~ My advice for anyone considering breast augmentation: don't just go for bigger. Think about the body proportions you like, so the result matches your taste, and choose a material with fewer side effects.
