Key takeaways
Mentor Classic (smooth) breast augmentation case: a small frame and an A cup, wanting a natural feel with less visible edges. After an assessment with Dr. Kuo-Chun Liao, she chose smooth implants through a 2 to 3.5 cm incision in the breast fold. Discomfort peaked in the first 72 hours; she was back at work on day three and at the gym after two weeks, caring for the incision with surgical tape and scar gel.

"I'm Stacy, I'm 28, and I'm a party DJ and the lead of a party brand. I have a naturally small frame and it runs in the family, so I was an A cup, which was always a small regret for me. Once I had the time, the resources, a plan and the mental preparation, I had breast augmentation..."
I chose Mentor Classic (smooth), because a natural result matters a lot to me. After feeling every type of implant, I found Mentor Classic (smooth) the most natural and closest to real breasts, and from the doctor's cases it had the least visible edges. It was my only choice. Mentor Classic (smooth) needs massage, but I already had a massage habit when my chest was smaller, so it's not much bother. Why not fat transfer: the shape might not turn out how I wanted, and it adds half a cup to one cup at most.
Right now my satisfaction is about 8. I'm looking forward to my breasts getting softer and closer to the shape and feel of natural breasts, and I believe my satisfaction will grow over time.
I almost backed out right before surgery!?
That's right. Breast augmentation is done under general anesthesia, which to me is very major surgery, and I'd never had general anesthesia, so I worried about three things:
1. Whether my body could handle general anesthesia
2. Whether the result would be what I wanted
3. Whether I'd get capsular contracture
But NAISS CLINIC drew blood before surgery and provided a full lab report, and together with the doctor's consultation, that let me understand my health before surgery. Before the operation the clinic also marks lines and balances both sides to plan the best cc and size. As for capsular contracture, they told me it's actually rare, and as long as I sleep well after surgery and cut down on smoking and drinking, it basically won't happen to me.

More confident after surgery, and loving parties
It's about six weeks after surgery, and recovery has gone well overall. The most uncomfortable time was the first 72 hours, mainly because I couldn't find a good position to sleep in. After three days I could carry things, go to work and do anything normally, and I went back to the gym two weeks after surgery. The incision is in the breast fold, about 2 to 3.5 cm long. The stitches stayed in for two weeks, with surgical tape to help the scar fade faster. You can still see the scar now, so I keep using tape and scar gel, but it's really small and under the breast, so even I don't notice unless I look closely. I don't think the incision is anything to worry about.
How breast augmentation changed things for me:
1. I'm more confident
2. I'm no longer limited in what I wear. I used to check whether a camisole had a built-in bra top that could give me shape; now that's no longer an issue
3. I never dared wear a swimsuit or bikini before, but last month I went to a water-fight camping party and happily wore my new bikini
I think breast augmentation is definitely a plus for a DJ. I haven't performed since, but I'm more confident now, so I believe it'll help. I already played music confidently before, but we do work in the spotlight, and a better figure catches people's eyes more easily!
Three key reasons I chose NAISS CLINIC
1. The setting: I walk into a clinic and see whether it feels welcoming, likable and bright, and whether it's somewhere I'm comfortable with
2. The consultant's and doctor's attitude: whether in person or in LINE replies, whether the answers are on point, timely and the service quality is something I like
3. The doctor's expertise: look at patient stories on PTT, Dcard and the clinic's website, and see whether the doctor's results match your ideal
When I first came for the consultation I was very nervous and uneasy, but when I met Dr. Liao, he felt like a friendly big brother and I let my guard down. He answered all my questions, and everything I might face before, during and after surgery, from his professional experience. Whether clearing up doubts or helping me prepare mentally, Dr. Liao was a huge encouragement
I think NAISS CLINIC's aftercare is very thorough. After waking up we rest in the recovery room and get a post-op meal. For three to five days after surgery there are anti-inflammatory IV drips, and after five days, as the incision heals, they also give you surgical tape. On top of that, the beautician asked every day, "How are you doing?" She gave me emotional comfort during the toughest 72 hours, and I'm really grateful to the clinic for that, because not every clinic gives patients such complete care after they leave. That's what made NAISS CLINIC such a different experience for me.
Choose what you love, and own your choice
To anyone who wants breast augmentation: choose what you love, and own your choice. You only live once, and with such good medical resources and clinic care available now, why not try something different for yourself!
There are lots of implant types now, so I suggest going to a clinic to feel the implants in person and see which comes closest to what you like. If friends have had breast augmentation, you can compare notes too. After all, it's major surgery and the implants stay with you a long time, so I hope everyone assesses carefully before getting them!
