Fat Transfer Breast Augmentation Story: Exercise Didn't Work, So Liposuction Brought Back My Old Figure

Key takeaways

Thigh VASER liposuction plus fat transfer breast augmentation case: fat concentrated in the legs, and exercise only slimmed the upper body. After an assessment with Dr. Zhao-Wu Yan, about 550 to 600 cc of pure fat was harvested from the front and inner thighs, saddlebags and inner knees, and 270 cc was transferred to each breast. Pain faded within one to two days, bruising cleared in one to two weeks, and no showers were allowed for a week.

"I'm Le-Le, I'm 24, and I'm a master's research assistant. I gained 5 kg in college, all in my legs, and could no longer fit into clothes I liked, so I decided on liposuction with fat transfer to my breasts. The breast part was because my chest was bigger when I was heavier, but when I lost weight it only came off my chest, so I wanted to put it back. This time I got back to my original size..."

I first thought about liposuction three or four years ago, but I decided to do it after seeing an ad and thinking I'd get a consultation. It only took about three weeks from consultation to committing to surgery, because NAISS CLINIC felt very relaxed and the consultant was very friendly, so I decided to have liposuction at NAISS CLINIC.

Exercise didn't work, so I chose liposuction

I'd tried exercising to lose weight, every other day for two or three months, both cardio and strength training. But maybe I was doing it wrong, because the weight came off my upper body while my lower body got bigger!

Before the consultation I wasn't sure about liposuction; I just wanted to ask. But then I decided to go ahead, because fat-dissolving injections take time and may need more sessions, while liposuction is faster. So I chose VASER. I actually did no research beforehand; I only started watching videos about liposuction and fat transfer to the breasts after the surgery.

Not nervous on the day; my only worry was waking up mid-surgery

I didn't change much before surgery, except trying to eat more, haha. Since I was having liposuction anyway, I figured I'd put on a bit first. I wasn't very nervous on the day. It was my first time under general anesthesia, but I think anesthesia is like getting a shot; once you're asleep you don't know what happens during the operation. My only fear was waking up in the middle. I was looking forward to the result, but there's swelling first, so you don't see the effect right away. I had liposuction on the front and inner thighs, saddlebags and inner knees, about 550 to 600 cc of pure fat, and 270 cc was transferred to each breast

After the anesthesia wore off I didn't feel anything that day. The next day standing was more comfortable, and I had to find the right position to get out of bed. The pain was gone after one or two days, but bruising appeared on days four and five and took one to two weeks to fade. The most annoying thing for me was not being able to shower for a week. I could sponge-bathe, but I still wasn't used to it. Because of the bruising, I didn't wear shorts out until three weeks later, and I didn't want to walk much either. In the first week you need dressing changes, and if the wound gets wet you have to change it right away. I'm in Tainan, where it's very hot, so that first week I took Uber everywhere and didn't want to walk at all.

Satisfaction 9, and a tip: have liposuction in winter

About three weeks after surgery, I rate it 9. The swelling isn't fully gone yet, but I can already see the difference. My compression garment goes from my calves to my waist, and it feels like my calves have been shaped too. After surgery the doctor said not to massage, not to diet, and to eat a bit more, and the clinic provided a recovery IV drip, anti-inflammatory painkillers and other things to speed up recovery. I find NAISS CLINIC comfortable and the snacks tasty, the doctor is young, skilled and professional, NAISS's aftercare is excellent, and the consultants are all very friendly.

My family still doesn't know. Some friends know I had liposuction. One friend already wanted liposuction, and after seeing mine she said she wants it too. Other friends say I look slimmer. The biggest change is what I notice when riding my scooter: put simply, my chest bounces more, haha. I really am happier, and a few tops feel tighter across the upper chest

To anyone on the fence about liposuction: I'd suggest doing it in winter, because compression garments are really hot. If you haven't started a job yet, do it before you start, and choose a doctor and clinic you like. If you've tried lots of ways to slim down without success and want quick results, you might as well go straight for liposuction. If you want it, do it!
