Ultraformer has been upgraded again! The newly launched MPT ("Meibiti") brings brand-new advantages and is hailed as the ideal teammate for achieving fresh, "first-love" skin. It combines 10 transducers in 20 treatment combinations for versatile use, and is promoted as combining the characteristics of both radiofrequency and ultrasound for better skin tightening. Many people have been watching and waiting since before MPT launched, so today NAISS has put together information about the 4th-generation Ultraformer MPT, including its features, how it compares with other devices, and who it suits, in the hope of helping you learn more!
What Is MPT ("Meibiti")?
The 4th-generation Ultraformer "Meibiti" (Ultraformer MPT) is also simply called "MPT." It brings revolutionary breakthroughs in many technologies, aiming for better tightening results in a shorter time, and its micro-pulsed three-dimensional thermal lines are as sturdy as suspended steel reinforcement, which has earned it the nickname "steel cable."
Ultraformer MPT uses a new handpiece design that combines the Ultra F Handpiece, a linear transducer, with the newly conceived Ultrabooster Handpiece, a pen-style transducer, allowing more precise treatment of different areas. In addition, MPT offers a standard mode and a micro-pulse firing mode, providing more effective solutions for problems such as "aging and laxity" and "fat accumulation".
Through the principle of high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU), MPT can concentrate thermal energy at the target depth for an immediate tightening effect. These tiny thermal coagulation points (TCPs) also stimulate collagen regeneration, so once you have recovered from the procedure, it can bring back firm, bouncy skin and tighter contours.
Features of MPT
The Ultraformer "Meibiti" (Ultraformer MPT) gets its name from its unique Micro-Pulsed Technology. Micro-pulse technology is often heard of in ophthalmology; its purpose is to reduce the heat conduction effect and lower unnecessary tissue damage. The new Ultraformer MPT adds a patented "micro-pulse mode," whereas conventional Ultraformer devices used "standard mode," which heats deep tissue without damaging the skin surface to tighten and firm the skin, but because this mode produces fewer thermal coagulation points (17), the gaps between energy deliveries affect the treatment result (it cannot achieve better benefits).
So the 4th-generation Ultraformer keeps upgrading and breaking through technologically. It adds a "micro-pulse mode" that increases the thermal coagulation points (each shot of energy can be divided into 417), and delivers energy extremely fast with continuous focusing, greatly improving treatment efficiency. In addition, the 4th-generation Ultraformer treats multiple layers with different transducers, and MPT micro-pulse technology widens the heating range and effectively accumulates thermal energy, producing a volumetric heating effect, which stimulates collagen growth, tightens and lifts, and even gives a localized contouring effect.
MPT Transducer Types and Depths:
The transducer options of Ultraformer MPT are more diverse, with 2 shapes, 7 depth levels, 10 cartridges, and a total of 20 freely switchable modes. Thanks to the intuitive design of Ultraformer MPT, each cartridge can use the touchscreen for one-touch switching between point and continuous-focus firing modes, so the speed and effectiveness of treatment can both be effectively improved.
Ultrasound vs. Radiofrequency
As mentioned earlier, MPT combines the strengths of ultrasound and radiofrequency. So what are ultrasound and radiofrequency, and how do they differ? Let's take a quick look!
Radiofrequency:
Radiofrequency energy travels from the epidermis through the dermis to the fat layer, heating the whole block of skin tissue in a "three-dimensional volumetric" way from the outside in. You can think of skin tissue as a big piece of meat that shrinks in volume when heated, while also stimulating collagen and elastin production. Once the collagen realigns, skin density increases, which tightens facial contours and makes the skin more elastic, reducing wrinkles and lines and improving enlarged pores.
Ultrasound:
It uses ultrasound to generate energy that passes through the epidermis and focuses at the depth of the fascia layer, heating the deep fascia from the inside out in a "point-by-point" way. You can imagine the fascia as a thin slice of meat that curls up when it meets high heat. When the fascia contracts, it pulls on the skin tissue and muscle, achieving an upward lift and stronger contours.
In the past, when skin had both laxity and sagging, we would recommend ultrasound and radiofrequency together. This year's launch of the 4th-generation Ultraformer gives patients one more option!
Radiofrequency vs. Ultrasound: Principles, Prices, and Who They Suit, Explained
Who Is MPT Right For?
With a combination of 10 transducers, the device can fully cover the treatment area and fill in the gaps between dots and lines, so results last longer, and the treatment feels faster and gentler. Except for special contraindicated areas that are not suitable for ultrasound, almost the entire face can receive Ultraformer MPT treatment. Areas of laxity such as nasolabial folds, the neck, the brow and eye area, double chin, and jowls are all well suited to Ultraformer MPT.
Notably, for body areas such as the arms, waist and abdomen, and inner thighs, Ultraformer MPT has a good superficial fat-reducing effect and is well suited to enhancing body contours, which is great news for modern people!
MPT Pricing
What everyone is most curious about is how MPT pricing is calculated. In fact, as with other Ultraformer series, it is based on the number of "lines" delivered, so the total cost of MPT depends on the total number of lines treated.
Among Ultraformer devices on the market, pricing varies by model and each clinic's pricing strategy. Because of its technological breakthroughs and how long its results last, the 4th-generation Ultraformer is priced higher than other Ultraformer models.
