Key takeaways

Perle breast augmentation case: she had naturally small breasts that sagged and spread apart after nursing. After an assessment with Dr. Kuo-Chun Liao, she chose textured Perle implants through an inframammary incision for a shorter dissection path. Chest pressure was noticeable for the first three days and eased after recovery IV drips at her follow-up; the doctor explained the breasts feel most natural after about six months.

"I'm Carol, I'm 24, and I work as a community secretary. I've always been on the curvier side, but my breasts were especially small, so overall my figure looked odd. In junior high I was called 'washboard' and 'airport runway.' Back then I thought it was just a joke and didn't mind much, but as I grew up and went out with friends, everyone wore outfits that showed off their figures, and I realized I had nothing to show off. That's when I started to care..."

Sagging after childbirth made things worse, and growing up changed my view of aesthetic medicine

My breasts were small to begin with, and after having my child they got even smaller, and sagged right after I stopped pumping. Also, because my breasts were small, I never wore proper bras, just crop tops and the like, so my breasts lost their shape and spread apart a bit. After childbirth things looked even worse than before, which made me even less confident, so I made up my mind to have breast augmentation. Before NAISS I consulted at another clinic, but NAISS CLINIC has lots of case stories, and its service felt more reliable, so I chose NAISS in the end. Actually, as a kid I thought people who had aesthetic treatments were fake, but as I grew up, people around me started trying aesthetic treatments and many influencers shared their experiences, which gradually changed my mind; what matters most is that you like it yourself.

Perle has great reviews, plus a lifetime warranty and a textured surface for peace of mind

I chose Perle because it has a lifetime warranty, and when I read online, people's reviews of Perle were quite good. Perle is also in the mid-to-upper price range, which reassured me. Of course there are cheaper implants, but since it's something that stays in your body for life, going too cheap made me a bit uneasy. Plus, Perle has a textured surface, so capsular contracture is less likely. In terms of feel, I personally thought they all felt about the same. All things considered, the lifetime warranty and textured surface really appealed to me, so I chose Perle. The incision is at the inframammary fold, because the dissection path is shorter, so recovery is faster. And once the breasts soften and settle, they cover the incision; now you can't see it unless you look from below.

3 days of discomfort after surgery, and recovery IV drips from the clinic helped ease the pain

Apart from a C-section, I'd never had major surgery, so I was quite nervous on the day. But Dr. Kuo-Chun Liao was very polite and always smiling. He kept reassuring me not to be nervous and told me what he'd do next, without that cold feeling you get from some doctors.

Honestly, for the first three days after surgery I regretted it. I'm quite sensitive to pain, and the discomfort was pretty intense. Lying down felt like a heavy weight pressing on my chest, and sitting up I felt something foreign in my chest, so it was hard to sleep. I also had to look after my child, and neither lying nor standing was comfortable, so the whole day was rough. But after day three things got much better. The clinic also provided recovery IV drips, and after those I felt better and the pain eased.

A nicer shape in clothes, and gradually getting softer

I'm three months post-op, and I'd rate my satisfaction 7 out of 10, because they're not soft enough yet, though they're getting softer. The doctor said it takes about six months to reach the most natural state, so I'll really know after six months~ My friends only noticed a change when I mentioned the surgery and then saw me in clothes; otherwise they wouldn't really notice, so it looks pretty natural. It was my kids who noticed! They never said anything when I changed in front of them before, but after the surgery they actually said, "Mommy's boobs got really big," hahaha. I'm more confident in my clothes now. With strapless crop tops, for example, if they slipped down even a little, you could see inside; now I have a nice shape without pushing anything together, and I can try many more styles~

I recommend breast augmentation for small-chested women and new moms: perkier breasts, more confidence

If you have small breasts, I'd recommend breast augmentation, because afterward, getting dressed feels completely different! You can wear so many more clothes, they look great, and you become much more confident. I think it was worth it and wonder why I didn't do it sooner after being teased for so many years. Moms whose breasts have sagged or lost their shape after childbirth can consider it too, because it lifts the breasts and brings them closer together, so I really recommend it for new moms. Depending on your body, be prepared for some discomfort in the first three days after surgery.
