Key takeaways
Perle breast augmentation case: after pregnancy she went from a C cup to an A cup, and six months of breast-enhancing supplements didn't meet her expectations. After an assessment with Dr. Kuo-Chun Liao, she chose textured Perle implants with a lifetime warranty, placed through an incision under the breast. Pressure and pain in her chest were most noticeable in the first week, overall recovery took about two months, and her breasts softened in the third month.

"I'm Ruo-Yu, I'm 27, and I'm a car salesperson. After having my child, my breasts shrank badly, from a C cup to an A cup, and I had to buy all-new bras. I took breast-enhancing supplements for over six months, but progress was very slow and I couldn't reach the size I wanted, so I decided to go straight to breast augmentation..."
Drawn by Perle's lifetime warranty, I waited six months to make my wish come true
I first wanted breast augmentation six months ago, but Perle wasn't available yet, and other implants on the market had warranties of around 10 years, so I didn't go ahead. Later I saw that Perle has a lifetime warranty, costs about the same as other implants, has a textured surface that's less prone to capsular contracture, and doesn't need massage. What sold me was Perle's lifetime warranty. When a friend of mine consulted a few years ago, the doctor said implants with lifetime warranties would definitely arrive one day, so we were both waiting, and luckily it came fairly soon!
The newest breast implant material of 2024! What is PERLE, and how does it compare? A quick guide
Recovery varies from person to person, so be mentally prepared
I chose an incision under the breast, because the doctor advised that this allows more precise implant placement. I'd also done some research online over the previous six months, so I roughly knew what to watch out for. My recovery took about 2 months. In the first week my chest hurt quite a bit, like something heavy pressing on it. I couldn't sleep lying flat or turn over, didn't dare move much or lift anything heavy, and had a numb, aching feeling. Breathing was harder for the first 3 days, and right after surgery my breasts were quite firm, which wasn't what I expected and gave me a bit of a scare. Only in the third month did they become quite soft. Everyone heals differently, and I'm the type whose pain lasts longer, so I still think you should be mentally prepared.
Great service at NAISS CLINIC, and a considerate, courteous doctor
I chose NAISS CLINIC because few clinics offered Perle at the time, and the attitude at other clinics I consulted put me off; they barely bothered answering my questions. After comparing 3 or 4 clinics, and seeing that NAISS CLINIC's Google reviews included positive breast augmentation stories, I felt the environment, doctors and service were all good and that I could trust them. Dr. Kuo-Chun Liao is very courteous and respectful to patients. During the consultation he stepped out whenever I needed to undress or get dressed, so I didn't feel awkward. Dr. Liao also has a fun personality, and I had a very good impression of him~
No more thickly padded bras, and more variety in my style
For the first 3 days after surgery I went back to the clinic for dressing changes and IV drips. On days 5 and 6 I was still in a lot of pain, so the clinic gave me another anti-inflammatory drip. I thought that was great; they didn't just forget about me after 3 days, hahahaha~ I'm now a little over 3 months post-op, and my satisfaction is 8. The biggest difference is how much easier life is. After going from a C to an A cup, I wore padded bras so clothes would look good, but they were so hot and stuffy. Now a stick-on bra is all I need, and I can try many more styles.
Have the right mindset: if it achieves your goal, it's worth it!
If you're thinking about breast augmentation, be mentally prepared for pain during recovery; it may not be as easy as you imagine. My friends' opinions are mixed: some say it looks great, others say it's still not completely natural. But my view is that it is an implant, and making it exactly like natural breasts isn't really possible. If it lets me look the way I want in clothes, then it's worth it!
